Jerome H. Powell, president of the Federal Reserve, said that interest rate cuts can arrive during his final speech as president of the FED on Friday at an annual conference organized by the Kansas City Reserve Bank in Jackson, Wyo.

The labor market remains close to maximum employment and inflation, although it is still high, it has dropped a lot from its post-pandemic maximums.
