Amazon It is extending its first -day discount bonanza, announcing that the annual sale will be made four days this year.
The 96 -hour event will begin at 12:01 am PT on July 8 and will continue until July 11, Amazon said in a statement.
For the first time, the company will implement “theme falls” that change daily and are available “until supplies last.” In recent years, Amazon has played with the addition of more limited and invited offers during first -day events to create an emergency or shortage feeling.
Amazon launched Prime Day in 2015 as a way to ensure new members for its loyalty program of $ 139 per year, and promote its own products and services while providing a boost of sales in mid -year. In 2019, the company made Prime Day a 48 -hour event, and since then has added a second first -day event in autumn.
Prime Day is also an important income driver for other retailers, who often organize competition discount events.
