  • The Best Buy third parties launched was launched in the US. UU. Tuesday.
  • Customers can now buy cooking, decoration and musical instruments through the application and Best Buy website.
  • The electronics giant is one of several retailers trying to take advantage of the business model of the third -party market.

Now you can go to the Best Buy website for everything, from a Ganesh statue that interprets the flute to a set of champagne flutes.

Best Buy (BBY) doubled the amount of products available through its website and application while launching an American market on Tuesday that is open to hundreds of brands that are not transported in their stores, such as Martha Stewart, Crock-Pot and World Wide Stereo. The market offers more technology and taps in new categories, including the merchandise of the sports team, seasonal decorations and musical instruments, as well as toys and puzzles, said Best Buy in a press release and questions and answers.

“Our clients have always sought to bring emotion and inspiration so that only technology can,” said Frank Bedo, Market Head and Electronic Commerce officer at Best Buy, in a statement. Through the market, “we can really offer the complete experience they need,” said the statement.

The electronics giant, which already has a third -party platform in Canada, is the last retailer to launch an online market, a movement that allows companies to expand their product portfolio without investing in inventory or storage space. Walmart (WMT), Target (TGT), Lowe’s (Low), Nordstrom and Ult (UULT) have launched or shared plans to launch a market, according to the company’s ads. It is estimated that digital markets facilitate hundreds of billions of dollars in annual sales.

Best Buy did not respond immediately when asked if the items not stored in stores, but bought through the market could be sent to stores to collect. Market purchases can be returned to stores, according to the press release.

Best Buy’s shares increased approximately 5% in recent operations, but have dropped more than 10% for the year. At the end of May, the company reported mixed results of the first quarter and reduced its full -year perspective due to rates.
