GBP/USD sees modest gains amid cautious Fed and BoE remarks

The pound sterling (GBP) will strengthen slightly against American dollar (USD) midway through the North American session, but is trading sideways and unable to recapture a key resistance level at the 50-day moving average (DMA). A cautious stance from US and UK central bank spokespeople and a lack of major economic data would likely keep the major at familiar levels. The GBP/USD pair is looking to capitalize on the previous day’s good bounce around 50 pips from the 1.2570 region and is oscillating in a narrow range during Friday’s Asian session.
