Here's what Android TV will look like on Android O



Android TV, Google’s software for the big screen, is getting a welcome visual overhaul when Android O rolls around later this year. The update largely involves making the home screen more animated, while also allowing users to “find content faster.”

    All that development and they could have just made a skin for KODI, added a better webbrowser and a working youtube app. Actually they could have just made a TV mode with larger interface for Chrome.

    I can make LCD monitor to Android TV. It's easy. Just hook up your Samsung phone or pad with USB with some work. It becomes Android TV.

    Can we connect Chromecast to sony internet tv and does it work same as built-in Chromecast tv that we see in sony TV's

    Android TV on Sony and Philips has been like &%$§"! It is like trying to operate Android Honeycomb or Gingerbread on phones years ago.

    My nexus player with android O, doesn't have Google assistant you just can asking simple questions and things like weather but things like turn on the light don't work

    Geeez. You need the "All Apps" menu first screen. Move or add favorites where you want on that menu and you are done. Look at a Roku. All that other stuff if superfluous. Make it faster too. And yes, I have a Sony with a fantastic picture (XBR900E) with the pain in the@$$ Android Tv system. Why is Sony not getting this message????
