Workers who “solve problems” in healthcare and those who drive business growth uncertain economic environment will see more opportunities this year, according to LinkedIn.
His latest Jobs on the Rise data revealed sharp increases in the hiring of growth specialists, technical workers, and healthcare workers in Asia—among other jobs that are expected to grow through 2023.
Jobs that help businesses do more with less in these uncertain times are on the rise. As companies need to better align their sales, marketing and customer success efforts with the common goal of driving revenue growth, these roles continue to grow and drive efficiency and profitability.

LinkedIn researchers examined jobs from January 2018 to July 2022 to calculate the growth rate for each job title in a specific country.
LinkedIn added that for a job to be considered, a job must see consistent growth on the platform and also “grow to a meaningful size” by 2022.
Job trends in India
Jobs that focus on business growth and new customer acquisition — such as sales development, business development and demand generation — are growing in India, LinkedIn said.
Such jobs make up almost half of its list of jobs in growing demand in India.
“Jobs that help companies do more with less in these uncertain times are growing,” said Pooja Chhabria, career expert and managing editor for Asia-Pacific at LinkedIn.
“As companies need to better align their sales, marketing and customer success efforts with the common goal of driving revenue growth, these roles continue to grow and drive efficiency and profitability.”
LinkedIn has also seen an increase in technical jobs such as user experience writer, technical program manager and statistics analyst in India, which it attributes to the increased focus on AI and cybersecurity.
The growing demand for healthcare professionals due to Covid-19 is also evident in India. What’s interesting, Chhabria said, is the growth of remote healthcare jobs.
“As telecommuting is being embraced in India, we are seeing an increase in demand for roles particularly in the healthcare industry such as medical scribe, credentialing specialist. [and] a healthcare recruiter that offers more flexibility.”
As companies focus more on promoting sustainability, green jobs such as sustainability manager are also on the rise, LinkedIn added.
Sustainable development roles appear on fast-growing job listings in 13 countries, including Australia, Brazil, France, Germany and India.
