Brad, nothing is weird about your 9 year old daughter liking "Piano Man". Maybe you should let her play piano or guitar (if she doesn't already), she might be musically talented given her mature (for her age) taste in music. Gordon, like you I hate it that electronics gets thrown away that fast that much. Often just an SSD and a clean install (Windows or Linux) is all it needs to be perfectionally functional for most people. I use my old system as a spare computer in case I get problems with my new hardware, otherwise I would sell it or give it away.

Everyone is using a proper studio mic, then the guy on the TV sounds like a tin can.
Please upgrade his hardware, it will upgrade the discussion a lot.

I had to do without a graphics card in my 9900k PC and I fired it up and the screen came on. I totally forgot it had an integrated chip. I could browse fast and do some gaming.
No one ever talks about having a top chip with a integrated graphics chip. AMD has nothing in their chips except the lowly g.
You will never be CPU limited gaming with a 9900k. Lol.

My 7820x was a great chip I got it two years ago for $425 with $30 off bundled with mb. Games great and edits great. Can overclock too with good aio water cooler.

new price cuts for x series really made me to start think about getting into x299 platform and buying 10980xe.

you seem to forget that this is a 128bit wide bus and as such that super ddr6 your raving about has less memory bandwidth than an 8gb 480
(224GB/s vs 256GB/s) this is simply the new RX460 updated to 2019 spec and should be priced as such

Vulkan has ray tracing in it, which is probably what sony will be using for its ray tracing.
