Is Vaping Safer Than Smoking? | The Deets

Traditional cigarettes and cigars are finite. You light them up, smoke them, and put them out. They also have a finite amount of nicotine.

Vaping is different. One 5% cartridge roughly has the same amount of nicotine as a pack of cigarettes.

But unlike cigarettes, with vaping you aren’t ever “finished.” You can keep puffing and puffing, not realizing you may technically be getting the same amount of nicotine as you would chain-smoking.

Dude seriously any form of fuckin nicotine is bad for you period, the kids of this generation are gonna be so fucked up from those toxins in the vape liquid it's not even funny, I hope they fuckin ban them because they're just the same as cigarettes just an updated and more modern form of them. I believe the government should regulate then just like they've been doing with the pot shops popping up everywhere, where they're only allowed to bug a certain amount of it and I believe the people who do vape should be separated from those that don't want smell that second hand shit coming out of your lungs only for us to find out years later we got fuckin cancer because of you people, I don't care if you vape but have some decency and do it away from children, the fuckin elderly and anyone who kindly asks if you can do it elsewhere we after respect your choice to destroy your own lungs just don't take ours along with you!

Vaping immediately helped me quit smoking on the spot!
Once I learn to vape without coughing took me about 10 minutes. I crave the nicotine… I wish there wasn't all that other junk. I'm not so concerned about compared to all the other chemicals..

  • August 24, 2019 at 5:45 pm

What's not mentioned is that these chemicals are only produced from excessive burning of the coil . What they dont tell you is that normal vaping doesn't produce these chemicals because we're not permanently holding down the burn button

Id ban it all. Thatll drive up the prices enough for highschool students to stop it.

There is no irrefutable evidence to show that teenagers will go on to smoke after vaping, if anything it is quite the opposite. I know nobody that would go from 500+ flavours in a vape, throw that away and choose burning paper and tobacco flavour (ie cigarettes) instead.

As for heart health, the risk comes not from the ecigarette or the liquid, but from the nicotine itself. This would be true of any form of nicotine ingestion. However, nobody is forcing you to use nicotine-enriched liquid and many people have quit using nicotine free eliquids alone. So it is sort of disingenuous to say that vaping causes heart problems.

Vaping has for a fact helped me. I would say that i would most definitely smoke at least 1-2 cigs a day for 10 years straight. I did not want to try vaping because all I personally saw was just another way to get dem fat clouds in the air and was not interested on just that. I don't know what changed in me one day but my head said on this day i will NEVER smoke a cig again even if i have to replace it with vaping. I now just a juul (say what you want i dont care) I personally feel it helped me quit because I personally felt that if i don't stop smoking cigs I will prob never quit. Vaping is not perfect you see tho. I will eventually kick this ass well I hope. Because this I know from research will be tampered with in the future now that big tobacco company are now trying to buy their way in. Im going off topic. I have no been cig free for 2 mins.

JK Honestly been clean for like 4 months now. Breath better but still get this weird strange smokers cough. Working on dropping nicotine lvl to 3.0 instead of 5.0 baby steps guys.

I used to smoke when at work and switched to the vape with nicotine liquid a year or 2 of this and I still have the thing but I use the liquid without nicotine and hardly use it anymore.

Putting anything other than air in your lungs have bad effects but at least vaping is safer and as for the teens I seen a teen vaping said thanks for the free mod and gave him a wave as I walked away. He really could call the cops but that puts his parents at risk because what he was doing lmao

It's a typical conspiratorial assassination of a hugely successful industry that always occurs.  ALWAYS!

For instance in high school my sociology professor had written on the board the following:

"Those of you in this classroom who have ever eaten a pickle are going to die, ITS A FACT, and there's nothing you can do about it!".

This applies to this and other scares that the counter industry assassins do.

For instance, the news claims 193 cases "all of a sudden" (though vaping has been extremely popular for the past 11 years by 15 million+) of lung disease that "COULD" be attributed to vaping, right?

What they don't say is that in the same time period there have been 13,187 reported cases nationwide of hospital admissions for the normal medical occurrences of lung problems!  And that all the 193 cases have in common are that they have vaped.  However they likely drank a coke, ate a candy bar, had a glass of water?  So anyone wanting to assassinate an industry simply draws on a century old mass marketing formula.

So the following statement is factual: "Of the 13,197 cases of lung damage in the last 90 days, 90% of these could be attributed to the consumption of pickles in their lifetime because there is a common link between the 90% having consumed pickles and those reporting lung damage".

This technique has long been in use (for about a century) by groups to sway masses into certain channels of thought.

Personally I've been vaping since 2011, heavily!  I mean literally every waking breath I take.  How many breaths?  millions?

I also have never been sick from it,  run 3 miles every morning, work out, and haven't ever had any issues whatsoever.

This news will pass and they'll move on to the next thing like decaf or MSG lol.  Just know that even the FDA is saying "could be attributed" there's the clue.

yeah it'll affect sales for a week.  I guess knowing that cigarettes cause cancer for sure really ended the tobacco industry, whatever happened to the tobacco industry?  sugar industry?  alcohol industry?

Remember when eating eggs was criminal decades ago a death sentence?   Red meat?  Tap water?

Do I have a dog in the fight?  yes.  yet,  there have been no conclusive results attributing vaping to all this.

I was a 2 pack a day guy for 25 years. I started vaping in 2014. I feel so much better. I don't stink like an ash tray. I work out. I'm a vaping 3mg nic and started with 24 mg nicotine. I love vaping because it helped me quit cigarettes. I don't have chest pain anymore . Big tobacco wants u to think that vaping is bad. They've lost millions and will do anything to get u to come back to cigarettes!!! Don't believe everything you hear. I've been vaping less and less . Soon I will be nicotine free. Vaping truly works. I mean it worked for me.
