McDonald’s The snack envelopes will return to the US restaurants. UU. Next month, since the fast food giant seeks to increase sales after a slow beginning of the year.

McDonald’s presented snack wraps almost two decades ago, but suspended the article in 2016 because it decelerated its kitchens too much. Some franchisees maintained snack wraps until 2020, when McDonald’s cut their menu during the Covid-19 Pandemic blocks to maintain the service working as softly as possible. The snack wraps disappeared along with salads and parfaits.

McDonald’s customers have been crying out for the return of the sandwiches for years, starting requests, asking about it in the car lanes and tweeting daily in the official X McDonald’s account. His return on July 10 occurs when McDonald sales are slow, affected by the cautious consumer spending. The hamburger chain reported that its sales in the same United States store decreased 3.6% in the first quarter.

This time, McDonald’s snack wraps will be made with one of the McCrispy strips of the chain, which was launched throughout the country in May. The wraps will come in two flavors: spicy and ranch.

“The market continues to show that the consumer is interested in this product. We want to make sure to meet the needs of our customers in this regard,” said McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski at the beginning of May, referring to the envelope of refreshments.

The menu element is part of the broader thrust of McDonald’s beyond beef in chicken. The success of restaurants such as Chick-Fil-A, Popeyes, Raising Cane’s and Dave’s Hot Chickn have made Chicken a category of rapid growing restaurants in recent years.

The return of McDonald’s Snack Wraps could light the next stage in the so -called chicken wars. Restaurant Brands International Popeyes announced on Monday his own shot with his “generous chicken wrappers”, wrapped in an omelet inspired by his cookies and available for a limited time.
