Ethereum transactions can now be pre-confirmed in just a fraction of a second with new technology from an Ethereum infrastructure platform.
Primev says its FAST RPC (remote procedure call) allows transactions to be pre-confirmed and set up for inclusion in blocks in less than 200 ms, enabling everything from Ether (ETH) transfers and interaction with smart contracts to the minting of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) at “breakneck speed.”
Pre-commit is an early signal from a block creator indicating that a transaction is likely to be included in the next block, while block inclusion refers to a transaction being added to a block.
RPCs like FAST RPC connect crypto wallets to blockchain nodes, allowing users to send transactions and interact with decentralized applications on the chain.
From a user perspective, 200ms could, in theory, rival high-speed Layer 1 blockchains like Sui, where transactions are typically confirmed within 200ms.
Primev founder Murat Akdeniz posted a live demo on
Akdeniz said his team has been working for more than two years to “power Ethereum” to these speeds.
Ethereum L1 is tremendously slow 😩
Can the developers PLEASE fix this?
For more than 2 years, the @primev The team has been working to power the Ethereum mainnet.

FAST RPC has not been tested at scale
The most used RPCs on Ethereum are the Infura solution and Alchemy, which, while slower than Primev’s FAST RPC, have a much larger node distribution and have been tested under much heavier network loads.
More than 400,000 builders leverage Infura, built by Consensys, to connect with Ethereum, while Alchemy facilitates more than $150 billion in transactions annually from more than 100 users worldwide.
Still, Primev’s solution could offer much faster transactions for users who prefer to stay on the Ethereum mainnet rather than switch to Ethereum’s layer 2 solutions.

FastRPC is relatively easy to configure
Primev’s solution can be easily integrated by connecting to a crypto wallet like MetaMask or WalletConnect and replacing Infura and Alchemy’s RPC with FAST RPC.
Users must then deposit funds into Primev’s “gas tank” at the wallet address “0x24A…c2ACf” before they can interact freely on the chain.
