The representative Summer Lee, D-PA., In a statement on Saturday he criticized the launch of the first treasure of documents related to the sexual offender convicted by the late Jeffrey Epstein as incomplete and predominantly “recycled content already made available to the public.”
Lee, a member of the Government Supervision and Reform Committee of the House of Representatives, presented the motion to force President Donald Trump to release files related to Epstein last month.
The Department of Justice gave Congress the first lot of documents on Friday, to comply with a summons issued by the Committee earlier this month.
But Lee said on Saturday that only three percent of the 33,295 pages of documents delivered to Congress contained new information, according to the initial review of the Democrats Supervision Committee.
“The remaining 97% of the pages included information previously published by the Department of Justice, the Department of Application of the Florida Law or the Palm Beach County State Prosecutor’s Office,” Lee said in the statement.
It was not clear immediately what information the documents contained and what, or how much, was written.
Lee said the only new dissemination in the section of the documents was less than 1,000 pages of flight location of the Epstein plane from 2000 to 2014.
“The Trump Department of Justice is pretending to respond to the citation,” he said in the statement. “The published Epstein documents are largely thousands of recycled content pages already made available to the public.”
Representative Robert GarcÃa, D-Calif., The classification member in the Chamber’s Supervision Committee also criticized the release of initial documents.
“The limited dissemination of the DOJ raises more questions than answers and makes it clear that the White House is not interested in justice for the victims or the truth,” Garcia said in a statement published in X on Saturday.

A spokesman for the Republican Chamber Supervision Committee said Friday that “production contains thousands of documents.”
“The Committee intends to make these records public after an exhaustive review to ensure that the identification of the victims and the child sexual abuse material are written,” said the spokesman.
Epstein’s archives have been a thorn on the Republican side in recent weeks, since many Republicans, including some of Trump’s strongest supporters, have repeatedly urged the administration to follow their campaign promise and publish documents related to the case.
The launch of the initial lot of archives to Congress on Friday came the same day that the Department of Justice published new transcripts of its interview last month with Epstein’s accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.
Maxwell, who currently meets a 20 -year prison sentence, told the attached attorney general Todd Blanche that he did not know from any Trump crime in relation to Epstein, according to transcripts, which also shows that he praised the president.
