Forget about airports full of people and flights of an hour. If traveling to the world is on your desire list, Adventures By Train is ready to offer a new and unique experience to do exactly that, all in 100 days.
The tourist operator recently announced his train trip by train and the first game is scheduled for March 17, 2026.
More and more people look for a sustainable way of traveling and a railroad trip adapts to the bill.
“People are increasingly worrying about their carbon footprint and the impact that the flight, in particular, has on the planet,” says Jim Louth, director of Adventures de Train, to CNBC.
“This is a greener way to explore the world without taking a flight.”
Only 12 people can join the trip, and the cost per person is £ 112,900 or $ 146,184 USD. However, booking as a couple will reduce the price of the ticket to $ 116,468 each.
“We want to maintain a quite intimate experience and the best way to do it is to go with a small group,” says Louth. “We are mixing the experiences, so some legs of the trip will be really authentic and with the feet on the ground and others will be, in general, a more luxurious experience.”
One of the rail stop stops is Istanbul, Türkiye.
Train adventure
The company will assign $ 100 per person per hotel for laundry services and recommend that passengers travel with bags that can fit in aerial compartments.
The passengers will also join a dedicated tour leader who will escort the group on all trips. They can expect your trip to begin and end in London.
“Making the real train by train presents the opportunity to mix and meet local people, try local foods and, above all, see the country closely through the train window,” says Louth.
Louth says it took about six months to build the trip, but it was really something he had been dreaming of for years.
The trip will include a combination of railway trips and immersive experiences in 14 countries: France, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Japan, Canada and the United States.
Travelers will address Queen Mary 2 to cross the Atlantic Ocean.
Train adventure
The 100 -day itinerary has trips through the Swiss and Austrian Alps, the Chinese high -speed train, the California Zephyr Amtrak route through the rocky mountains and more.
Some immersive experiences planned for the trip include classic concerts in Vienna, wine tastings in Georgia and street food tours in Kyoto.
The train tour also includes 23 days on the Passage Luxury Cruise of Pacific Norte from Tokyo to Vancouver and a cross of seven nights of the Atlantic in Queen Mary 2. Another set of maritime crossings included in the trip will go from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan and from Shanghai to Osaka.
And as if all that were not enough, the railway tour also includes stays at the hotel at the Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai, Shangri-La in Vancouver, the Langham New York Avenue and Pera Palace Hotel in Istanbul.
