Will Apple ditch Lightning for USB-C on the new iPhone? (Apple Byte)

Tim Cook thinks the AirPods are a “cultural phenomenon,” the iPad isn’t getting a hybrid OS anytime soon and is Apple really getting rid of USB-C?

Not likely USB-C port. More likely a NON USB-C, NON Lightning port…

This show has gotten kinda lame but I'm not blaming C-Net nor any of their employees for that. Apple needs to step up their game.

Nope not gonna happen. Apple loves profit. USB Type C won't make them more profit. Never gonna happen.

100 bucks says it's gonna be Apple Lightning port USB C cable ain't no way Apple would let standard USB C cables to work with their phones when they can milk it cause they know people will buy it.

I think if they don't get rid of the lightening port with this phone they will soon.  Reason is I just bought a new MacBook Pro and it's USB-C is literally the only ports it has so I had to buy a USB to USB-C connector just to connect my peripheral devices or charge my iPhone from the MacBook!
